Contrary to popular belief, I actually do like lots of different things. And I don't hate everyone either. In fact, I like lots and lots of people. Harry Reid is not one of them. That arrogrant fuck can kiss my ass. Everytime you see him on TV he has his smarminess exuding from his pores like the stench of scotch out of an alcoholic's. That ass hole makes Joe Buck look modest and humble. And as with most pretentious individuals he is completely and embarassingly full of shit. Oh, he's also a hypocrite.
So apparently during the '08 election season, Reid, while speaking about Barack Obama, said that Americans were ready to embrace a black president who was, "a 'light-skinned' African American 'with no Negro dialect." Ho. Lee. Shit. How fucking retarded do you have to be? Everyone knows that any poignant or comical racial remark begins first by looking over both shoulders and dropping your voice to a whisper. But when you are the leader of the mother fucking United States Senate, you don't even THINK those things.
But whatever. I don't really give two shits what he had to say about Obama. I don't care that he apologized or that the president accepted his apology. What I very strongly care about is the double fucking standard that he and his Democrat douchebag buddies hold themselves to. Reid has basically laughed off the event as a non issue. "Eh, I apologized. Barry said it was OK. We're cool." (Not an actual quote of course.) But what if Sen. Reid (D-NV) was Sen. Reid (R-NV)? I'll fucking tell you. His ass would be run out of the Senate chamber faster than Usaine Bolt could finish the 100M. He would be labeled a racist and liberals all over the country would flip shit while calling for his resignation of not only his leadership position but his seat in the Senate as well. There would be no room for an intolerant conservative ass hole like that in the Senate I tell you! He would be shamed out of his office and he and Imus would have to ride off into the sunset together.
Oh, you don't think that's how shit would go down? Really? Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm not saying that either man is right in saying insensitive things. Frankly, I think Reid's comment is absoultely hysterical. I'm just furious at the hypocrisy surrounding the situation. The worst part is that Democrats are not self aware enough to even see the similarities and acknowledge that they are being hypocritical in their treatment of Reid in light of Lott's treatment less than 10 years ago. I am embarassed for our society when hypocrisy and political correctness are able to trump reason and intelligent thought.
